Boxing Therapy
More in touch with yourself
Boxing therapy is not a boxing class, but a powerful therapeutic form where we use boxing exercises to get you more deeply in touch with your body.
The goal is not to become a better boxer, but to clarify the conscious and unconscious connections between your body and your emotions.
Many of our emotions, such as fear, anger, stress or even sadness, can become lodged in our bodies without our awareness. Through the physical movements of boxing, you come into more direct contact with these stored tensions and patterns, creating space for healing and insight.

Why is Boxing Therapy so powerful?
In therapy, it is often difficult to penetrate deeper emotional layers through words alone. However, the body can speak without words. Boxing therapy helps to physically express emotions that are difficult to put into words, such as unconscious anger or fear.
It also creates a sense of strength and confidence, while teaching you how to deal with tension and stress in a healthy way. It makes you aware of the interaction between body and mind, and provides a physical outlet for stuck emotions you may have been carrying around for years.

Each session of boxing therapy is completely tailored to your personal needs. We always start with an intake session. During this first session there will be no boxing yet. This conversation gives me the opportunity to get a clear picture of your current situation, your challenges and your goals. Together we determine what you want to achieve and how boxing therapy can help. The number of sessions is not fixed, because the process varies from person to person. You are ready when you feel you can continue on your own. This can sometimes take faster or longer than you expect, which is why I find it limiting to agree on a fixed number of sessions in advance.
In the active sessions that follow, we deploy boxing exercises that fit your process. This can range from light exercises to more intense physical expressions, depending on what is needed at the time. However, we may not do boxing exercises for the first few sessions and focus on other methodologies, such as breath work or a regular therapeutic approach.

You do not need experience with boxing to participate in boxing therapy. Boxing is just a tool within the broader process, just as breath work or meditation can be.
The goal is not to learn the perfect technique, but to get you more in touch with yourself and the emotions stored in your body. This can help break patterns that may have been blocking you for a long time.

In addition to Boxing Therapy, I also offer regular therapy programs. In these trajectories I combine different forms of therapy, depending on your needs. During each session I tune in to your specific question or challenge at that moment, so that we can work specifically on what is most relevant at that moment.
The forms of therapy I often use in these pathways include mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, guided meditation, family constellations and inner child work. These methods help to recognize, break patterns on both conscious and unconscious levels and heal any traumas.
Unlike Personal Retreats, where I design a customized program for an intensive experience, in my regular therapy programs I offer a flexible approach. This involves looking at your needs and goals on a session-by-session basis.
